Taking the long view A year ending with a zero is a great time to look back at the last time that occurred – 2000 – the unforgettable “Y2K.” Think of all that’s transpired in your organization since 2000. The look back can reveal a journey of challenges and triumphs, victories and setbacks, celebrations and sorrow. Here’s a question: from the vantage point of 2000, what view did you see out there on the 2010 horizon? The Emerging Brave New World
“There are two competing worldviews in America today that dictate how society values human life.” So starts the first chapter of Tom Glessner’s “The Emerging Brave New World.” Too often in our own churches, well-meaning Christians lack the historical perspective and spiritual understanding of abortion’s pervasive nature in the United States. Tom’s research, first-hand knowledge, and tireless service bring to his readers an awareness of the sanctity of human life and encouragement in the battle against abortion in our land. A useful tool for pregnancy centers and churches, this book challenges us and gears us up to advance the sanctity of life. Its easy-to-navigate topics as well as thought-provoking discussions and questions help engage Christians dynamically. This book is available for purchase at Amazon.com and NIFLA.org.
