November, 2007 ACOG Standards to Limit Conscientious Refusal

RELEASED Dec. 14, 2007 - The consistently pro-abortion American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has issued a statement that defines abortion, abortifacients (“emergency contraception”), and fertility services for same sex couples as the “reproductive health care that all women deserve.” The ACOG Committee on Ethics is promulgating new standards to limit conscientious refusal.

“Such ‘services’ do not respect the dignity of women. In fact, they can be harmful to women’s physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual health. It is not surprising that ACOG has taken this stance. They have supported pro-abortion policies for years,” said Heartbeat International President Peggy Hartshorn, Ph.D.
