It is not intended to be a comprehensive list addressing all possible issues related to documentation.

  1. Assess what quality documentation is in nursing care. 
  2. Understand why documentation is done.
  3. Demonstrate the documentation process.
  4. Verbalize how documentation improves patients safety and helps nurses provide better care.
  5. Describe guidelines for electronic charting.
