The purpose of this course is to help nurses grasp the importance of issues related to complete, accurate, and timely documentation as a primary consideration in the provision of quality care in the Pregnancy Resource Medical Center. It is not intended to be a comprehensive list addressing all possible issues related to documentation.

 

Objectives

  1. Assess what quality documentation is in nursing care. 
  2. Understand why documentation is done.
  3. Demonstrate the documentation process.
  4. Verbalize how documentation improves patients safety and helps nurses provide better care.
  5. Describe guidelines for electronic charting.
